NOTES:
#1. While talking with Richard Boyd about the photographs, he told me the story of how his Dad, Captain Boyd, worked out how to get a Ship's Chapel into an unused area of the ship. Captain Boyd was very pleased to acquire that space to be used as the Ship's Chapel for the crewmembers of CG-12

#2. All Photographs are approximately 7" by 10" unless noted in parentheses

The photos and phamplets were in a yellow Kodak photo film box measuring about 8 1/4" by 10 1/4".

Mess Decks
Photo 2
Thank you Pete LaForce for the following information:
The photo taken by captain Boyd with the marine in the scene is the aft mess deck taken from port side aft, facing starboard.
The marine is at a post manned by a marine when the GMM's in aft talos were using the hoist. this hoist brought up talos from the lower decks missile storage(bunker) up to the aft missile house (this is where the missile was readied for launch) which was above the mess decks. from the missile house, the bird was moved on rail out the aft house doors onto the launcher.
The other mess deck photo is very inconclusive as to port or starboard, nevertheless a nice photo of days gone by..Pete LaForce FTM2 in a former life on CG12 & CG10.
